The Linear Recoil Device (LRD) by Alacritas Innovations is a precision-engineered recoil management system that mounts to the underside of your rifle.
Unlike traditional recoil solutions, the LRD uses a low-friction sled that allows the rifle to travel rearward in a perfectly straight line during recoil. This movement is controlled, repeatable, and assisted by a spring-loaded Return-To-Battery (RTB) mechanism — bringing the rifle smoothly back into position for faster, more consistent follow-up shots.
Designed to interface with both Picatinny and ARCA Swiss mounting systems, the LRD integrates seamlessly into modern rifle setups and delivers real performance gains in recoil control, target tracking, and shot-to-shot consistency.

Note on use with BipodeXT
When using The LRD with a BipodeXT please ensure that The LRD is fixed to your bipod (not inbetween your rifle and the BipodeXT). This will ensure that you are creating the most stable position and will get the most out of your LRD.

I’m now using this with the micro adjustable rear rest and it has made my shooting so much easier. No more jumping off target and spotting hits is much easier. It’s now easy hits with the 308 on a4” gong at 568 yards , also done the know your limits targets down to first time hits on the 1” target at 325 yards .
It’s made my shooting much more enjoyable.

Very happy with the new LDR and works as advertised. Would like it if a spare heavier spring was also available so I could swap the original out for use with magnum calibres.
